Cars from the era of Jack Brabham will hit the track for demonstration, alongside a V10 Jaguar F1 racer.
A car from F1's popular V10 engine era will return to the track at the 2026 Australian Grand Prix, with the 2001 Jaguar-Cosworth R2 V10 to conduct demonstration laps on Thursday, 5 March.
Cars from the iconic V10 era, which is loved by fans worldwide, last raced in 2005, with engines producing a unique high-pitched scream as they rev to 19,000rpm, nearly three times higher than most road cars.
The car taking part in demonstrations was driven by Eddie Irvine, Luciano Burti, and Pedro de la Rosa.
The event will also host a celebration to mark 60 years since Australian driver Sir Jack Brabham won his last world championship in 1966, with a 50-car demonstration to hit the track, including machinery from his 15-year career in F1.
From 1955 to 1970, Jack Brabham won three World Drivers' Championships, one under his own team, founded in 1960.
“It remains one of the most iconic moments in Formula 1 history, as Sir Jack is still the only person ever to win a World Championship in a car of his own construction,” said David Brabham, son of Jack Brabham, in a media statement.
The 2026 Formula One Australian Grand Prix weekend will run from 5-8 March, and will be supported by four categories: Formula Two, Formula Three, Supercars Championship, and Porsche Carrera Cup Australia.
