A drive-away deal on the Renault Megane EV until the end of June can save customers up to about $12,000.

The Renault Megane E-Tech electric vehicle will be offered with discounts of up to $12,000 as part of an end-of-financial year deal.
Until 30 June, the Megane E-Tech Techno EV60 is priced from $49,990 drive-away, an estimated saving of about $8000 to $12,000 over the regular price of $54,990 plus on-road costs.
The limited-time drive-away price applies to in-stock examples with Solid White paint and a black roof. Single-tone metallic colours cost $400, while two-tone metallic finishes are $800 extra.
The Renault website shows single-tone Solid White, Rafale Grey and Flame Red, and two-tone Flame Red/Shadow Grey, Night Blue/Diamond Black and Night Blue/Shadow Grey colours are sold out, at the time of writing.
The Megane E-Tech is powered by a single electric motor on the front axle producing 160kW and 300Nm, and is claimed to deliver a zero to 100km/h time of 7.4 seconds.
The electric Megane uses a 60kWh lithium-ion battery for a WLTP all-electric driving range rating of 454km. A 130kW DC rapid charger is claimed to replenish the battery from 15 to 80 per cent full in approximately 30 minutes.
The electric SUV is one of the three battery-powered offerings from the French manufacturer, alongside the larger Scenic E-Tech SUV and Kangoo E-Tech small commercial van.
Inside, the Megane is fitted with a 12.3-inch digital intrument cluster and 9.0-inch infotainment touchscreen with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.
Safety features include autonomous emergency braking (AEB), lane-keep assist, blind-spot monitoring, adaptive cruise control, traffic sign recognition, driver attention warning, front, rear and side parking sensors, and rear cross-traffic alert.
The Renault Megane E-Tech is offered with a five-year/100,000km warranty with roadside assistance, while the battery has an eight-year/160,000km warranty, and the vehicle has 12-month/30,000km service intervals.
