MG offers further $1000 off MG 3, MG 4, MG 5 and HS in EOFY offer

MG has cut $1000 from some of its models as it works to clear 2024-plated stock by the end of the financial year.

Until June 30, 2025, MG will offer a $1000 factory bonus on Model Year 2024 examples of its MG 3 hatch, MG 4 EV, MG 5 sedan and MG HS mid-size SUV – but not any of its newer MY24.5 or MY25 stock.

The limitation means the new-generation MG ZS small SUV – the brand's most-popular model in Australia – is not included in the end of financial year deal, as it launched as a MY24.5 vehicle late last year.

MG is also offering final versions of its previous-generation petrol ZST Vibe for $23,888 drive-away and electric ZS EV Long Range for $36,888, but they are not included in the EOFY deal as they are listed as MY25 and MY23 vehicles, respectively.

The $1000 factory bonus brings the 2024 MG 3 Excite down to $22,888, while the just-launched 2025 MG 3 Vibe base model costs $21,990.

Compared to the Excite, the new MG 3 Vibe lacks alloy wheels, blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, rear air vents, push-button start, folding mirrors, and a one-touch auto up/down driver's window.

However, the Vibe is the only MG 3 currently available with a driver monitoring camera and a front-centre airbag, with these updates expected to be added to the Excite and Essence grades once existing stock is cleared.

At the other end of the MG 3 range, the top-of-the-range 2024 Essence Hybrid+ is available for $30,990 with the $1000 EOFY bonus.

The MY24 vehicles must be sold and delivered by June 30, 2025, to be eligible for the offer, MG says.

The deal is also available for the MG 5 ahead of the arrival of safety upgrades for the small sedan in response to its zero-star ANCAP safety rating handed down in late 2023, with the non-turbo 2024 MG 5 Vibe available from $23,888.

The mid-spec MG 4 Excite 64 continues at $40,990 under the offer, while the flagship all-wheel-drive MG 4 XPower is available for $55,990.

VFACTS new-car sales data shows 14,508 MG vehicles were delivered in Australia between January and April 2025, down 10.5 per cent from the same time in 2024.

All of its models except the HS have recorded sales declines year-on-year, with the MG 5 down 25 per cent, the ZS down 18 per cent, the MG 4 EV down 6 per cent, and the MG 3 down 3 per cent.

MG has launched new-generation versions of the MG 3, ZS and HS in Australia in the last 12 months – all with higher starting prices – along with the niche $100,000 Cyberster electric sports car.

It is preparing to launch its S5 electric SUV, QS seven-seat SUV, U9 ute, IM5 luxury electric sedan, IM6 electric SUV, and hybrid versions of the HS by the end of the year, while a Tesla Model Y-rivalling mid-size electric SUV is also expected.
