Luxury Chinese brand Denza used the Melbourne Motor Show to announce it's bolstering its ownership proposition as it quickly grows its local footprint.

BYD’s luxury sub-brand Denza will soon introduce a five-year pre-paid servicing package, as well as a Guaranteed Future Value for all vehicles in its growing line-up.
Chief Operating Officer for Denza Australia, Mark Harland, told media at this weekend’s Melbourne motor show that the brand would offer the option of pre-paid servicing to streamline ownership for its luxury buyers.
“One of our House of Denza benefits that we are announcing today is that we're gonna have a five-year prepaid service package,” he said.
“For luxury-car buyers, they don't want to worry when they come in for a service.
“So for five years, this option allows you to come in, [we] do the work that we need to do to keep the vehicle running, keep it in good shape to increase our resale values, and the customer doesn't have to pay anything out of pocket.”
Harland said the Chinese car maker wants to reassure potential customers that it is here to stay, and also announced that it will be offering a Guaranteed Future Value for all of its models.
“With our financial partners at Angle, we are announcing that we're going to have a Guaranteed Future Value,” he said.
“So for anyone who has any doubt about our vehicles, PHEV (plug-in hybrid) or EV in the future, we're gonna stand behind our vehicles with a Guaranteed Future Value that's gonna be competitive with all the other OEMs in our segment, in the luxury segment.
“I think it brings that peace of mind and that certainty to the customers who are buying our vehicles.”
Denza launched in Australia 100 days ago, starting with just four dealerships in December 2025. It now has eight, and is eyeing 16 by the end of the second quarter.
Harland previously told Drive that Denza would have 20 by the end of 2026; however, that could change as the brand sets its sights on a massive local expansion.
Over the last few months, it has launched the B5 and B8 plug-in hybrid off-road SUVs, and opened orders for the D9 electric people-mover, with well over 1000 orders already taken.
At the Melbourne motor show, running from April 10 to 12, the car maker revealed its electric Z9 GT wagon, which is due to arrive in the third quarter of this year (July to September).
“It's been quite a journey in a very, very short period of time,” Harland added. “My team feels like we've been doing this for 10 years, but it's been going really quickly.
“And actually, the order bank is filling up very quickly [for D9], which is surprising to all of us, but we’re pleasantly surprised with all that.
“I have a long list of people raising their hands [to have a dealership]. So the dealer network, the sales, and the service support keep on increasing, and that's very important to us.
“It's one thing to have a great product. It's another thing to make sure that we have the service and the sales support for our customers as they travel around the country.”
Denza announced earlier this week that it will open the first 'Flash' charging stations at its flagship showrooms in Sydney, Melbourne and Adelaide by the end of this year, capable of supplying up to 1500kW – almost four times more than the most powerful plugs (400kW) currently in Australia.
As well as using the motor show to reveal new models it is adding to its 12-strong line-up, parent company BYD announced it will offer its own AC home chargers priced from $699.
