2026 GWM Haval Jolion price and specs: Fuel use cut with more-efficient petrol and hybrid engines

All versions of the 2026 GWM Haval Jolion small SUV are confirmed to use less fuel than before, with an updated model now available in Australia. 

Revisions to the Haval Jolion's petrol-electric hybrid system have seen combined fuel consumption reduced from 5.1L/100km to 4.8L/100km, GWM has confirmed. 

Meanwhile, an automatic engine stop/start system has been added to non-hybrid versions of the Haval Jolion, along with an undertray for improved aerodynamics and new tyres. 

Combined fuel consumption for the Haval Jolion Premium and Lux is now rated at 6.7L/100km, down from 8.1L/100km, while the Jolion Vanta is listed at 6.5L/100km, from 7.5L/100km. 

All variants continue to support standard, 91-octane unleaded petrol. 

Reduced fuel consumption for all Jolion grades will assist GWM in navigating Australia's New Vehicle Efficiency Standard (NVES) introduced earlier this year, which requires carmakers to meet annual emissions targets.

At the top of the Haval Jolion range, the petrol and hybrid Ultra have been replaced by new Vanta grades, adding black alloy wheels and exterior trim for the hybrid version, now mirroring the petrol. 

The Premium Hybrid also gains a synthetic leather-look steering wheel covering, while the Lux Hybrid, Vanta petrol and Vanta Hybrid now include DAB+ digital radio. 

Australian new-car sales data shows the GWM Haval Jolion is the third-best-selling small SUV year-to-date with 14,159 examples reported as sold.

The 2026 GWM Haval Jolion small SUV is expected to arrive in local showrooms in the coming weeks. 

In Australia, the Haval Jolion line-up will expand next year with the larger Jolion Max, giving buyers the choice of plug-in hybrid or electric power.
