Ranger and Everest customers can now get a Raptor-style 'Ford' block-letter grille straight from the dealer, rather than eBay.

Ford Australia has cashed in on customer demand for a popular aftermarket accessory for its best-selling Ranger ute and Everest four-wheel-drive with a new dealer-fitted item.

The brand is now offering an optional genuine grille with block lettering to customers of the diesel Ranger XLT and Wildtrak, and most Everest grades, to replace the factory-fitted grille with the blue oval Ford logo.

Many aftermarket companies offer a similar style of block-letter grille – designed to mirror the Ranger Raptor, F-150 Raptor and Bronco Raptor – which have proven popular with customers since the launch of the original Ranger Raptor in 2018.

Ford Australia is offering the grille in two colours, Conquer Grey or Absolute Black.

Two versions are available: one for the Ranger XLT, Everest Ambiente, Trend and Sport models without a front camera, and another with a front camera slot for the Ranger XLT Touring Pack, Ranger Wildtrak, and other Everest grades, except Tremor.

According to the brand, the optional grille is not compatible with the Ranger XL, XLS, Sport, Tremor/Wildtrak X and Platinum, while it is unclear if it can also be fitted to the Ranger Plug-In Hybrid XLT and Wildtrak, or other PHEVs.

The recommended retail price, including fitment, is $799 for compatible Ranger and Everest variants, with a five-year/unlimited-kilometre warranty when installed before the vehicle is delivered to a customer.

Ford accessories purchased after a customer has already taken delivery of their car are covered by the remainder of the vehicle's warranty, or a one-year/20,000-kilometre period, whichever is greater – but only if they are fitted by the dealer, not sold over-the-counter.

Other design-related genuine accessories available for the Ford Ranger in Australia include 'speed stripes' for the bonnet and side body, black or silver tailgate lettering decals, door mouldings, fender flares, headlight and tail-light surrounds, and white underbody lighting.

The Everest is also available with the 'speed stripes' decals, door mouldings, headlight and tail-light surrounds, and white underbody lighting.
