The third new model from fledgling luxury brand Denza will be a fully-electric people mover with opulent second-row captain's chairs.
Denza – a new luxury brand for the Australian market from BYD – has confirmed its third new model for the Australian market: the Denza D9 fully-electric people mover.
The Denza D9 follows on from the B5 and B8, which are four-wheel drive SUVs with plug-in hybrid petrol-electric power.
The Denza D9 undercuts the Zeekr 009 and Lexus LM significantly on price, however, starting from $85,990 plus on-road costs for the front-wheel drive model.
The all-wheel-drive model steps pricing up to $95,990 plus on-road costs, which ups outputs from 230kW/360Nm to 275kW/470Nm.
Both versions of the Denza D9 get a 103.3kWh LFP battery, which uses 'Blade' technology from parent company BYD and gives a claimed driving range of 480km (AWD) or 520km (FWD).
The Denza D9 can charge at 200kW on DC power or 11kW on an AC connection, and can also provide vehicle-to-load (V2L) power.
Inside, the Denza D9 distinguishes itself from a Kia Carnival with an interior layout that focuses more on luxury appointments. The second row offers heating, ventilation and massaging, as well as individual 5.5-inch displays for seating and comfort controls.
There is a long list of standard equipment beyond the second-row appointments, including a 14-speaker Dynaudio sound system, soft-close doors and a panoramic dual-roof system.
