Mazda 6e

Record petrol and diesel prices are turning a growing number of Australians towards cars that don't need liquid fuel: electric vehicles.

Searches for electric vehicles have spiked in recent weeks, and for buyers ready to take the leap, there are plenty of discounts available on models from some of Australia's top-selling brands.

This is not a complete list – and a number of these discounts are due to expire at month's end, unless extended – but the below is a snapshot of some of the best offers on electric cars right now.

Toyota bZ4X

Toyota is offering a charging solution for new owners of the bZ4X. Toyota Go members will receive a complimentary 7kW Jet Charge wall-mounted charger for home charging, or 12 months of free access to Chargefox plugs around the country, capped at 625kWh, or close to nine full charges.

The brand is also offering a $5000 deposit bonus for current-model front-wheel-drive bZ4X SUVs – built from October 2025 onwards – to customers who purchase using Toyota Finance, which rises to $7500 for all-wheel-drive models.

New and demonstrator models are included, provided they are current models.

Trade in an "eligible vehicle" and Tesla will take $2000 off the price of Model Y SUVs, and $3000 off Model 3 sedans – Performance and L variants excluded – provided customers order and take delivery by 30 June 2026.

Free transfers of Full Self-Driving Supervised and Enhanced Autopilot software suites from existing vehicles to new orders are also being offered on deposits placed by 31 March 2026.

Mazda, until 30 June 2026, will offer customers of the first 300 customers of the 6e electric sedan a free upgrade from the GT specification to the flagship Atenza, worth $3000.

Ford is selling Model Year 2023.75 Mustang Mach-E electric SUV stock at heavily-discounted drive-away prices of $60,000 for the Select, $75,000 for the Premium, and $89,000 for the top-of-the-line GT.

The offers equate to discounts of about $8000 to $19,000, depending on the state of registration and model variant selected.

Kia EV5

Kia is currently offering the EV5 Air Standard Range at an estimated drive-away price of $49,990 in all states bar Western Australia, where it is $50,990 – a saving of $5780 to $6780.

The Korean brand is also offering the EV3 Air Standard Range for $46,990 drive-away – a $2000 to $3000 saving – plus 2.99 per cent comparison-rate finance deals on the EV3 and EV5 GT-Line, applicable to in-stock new and demo vehicles purchased with Kia Finance.

Hyundai is marketing several drive-away deals on its electric vehicles until the end of the month.

BYD Sealion 7

BYD's Sealion 7 electric SUV in Premium trim is offered with a limited-time price of $54,990 drive-away – a saving of $1896 to $5799, depending on the state of registration, before further reductions in stamp duty are calculated.

Nissan has offers available across the Ariya range: a $2000 factory bonus, plus a $2500 loyalty bonus for existing Nissan customers, also available with a 2.9 per cent finance comparison rate.

Customers will also receive a free 22kW Autel MaxiCharger AC wallbox with any Ariya purchased by the end of the month.

The GWM Ora is $2000 off ($33,990 to $36,990 drive-away), the Chery E5 comes with three years' free servicing and drive-away prices of $38,990 to $42,990 until month's end – unless extended – and MG is offering a free ChargeHub wallbox on the S5 EV, IM5, and IM6.
