Two new variants have been added to the Mazda BT-50 range, alongside new parking technology and a price rise.

Mazda has returned the BT-50 Thunder to the top of its diesel ute line-up, alongside a revived Boss model grade and price rises of $500 to $1540, depending on the variant.
The Thunder adds popular accessories to the equipment list of the BT-50 GT model grade, and is sold exclusively in four-wheel drive with a 3.0-litre four-cylinder turbo-diesel engine.
It gains a standard single-hoop bull bar with Lightforce driving lights, a steel sports bar, a manual-roller tonneau cover, gloss-black door handles and a 'Thunder' decal set.
It becomes the most expensive Mazda ute ever sold in Australia at $78,400 plus on-road costs, up $4910 on the GT, and $4305 more than the previous Thunder grade sold in 2024.
The Boss variant has returned for the first time since the previous-generation BT-50 left showrooms in 2020, this time based on the existing XT model grade, and sold with a 3.0-litre engine and four-wheel drive.
It is priced from $60,220 before on-road costs, $2500 more than the XT on which it is based, and gains gloss black door and tailgate handles, black mirror caps, a sports bar, a tub liner and side steps.
For a limited time, the Boss will be available at $58,990 drive-away.
A 360-degree camera has also been added to XTR, GT and SP model variants, with the Thunder and Boss editions expanding the BT-50 line-up to 20 grades.
The BT-50 line-up is otherwise unchanged, powered by a 120kW/400Nm 2.2-litre turbo-diesel four-cylinder matched with an eight-speed automatic transmission, or a 140kW/450Nm 3.0-litre turbo-diesel with a six-speed auto.
