The updated 2026 Hyundai Santa Fe range has been announced for Australia, bringing a minor change to specifications and a $400 price range across the board.
As before, the line-up includes either a 1.6-litre turbo-petrol hybrid or a 2.5-litre turbo petrol engine without hybrid assistance across three trim levels.
The most identifiable change to the 2026 Santa Fe is the fitment of 18-inch alloy wheels on the entry-level Santa Fe, in place of 20-inch wheels previously.
The change also marks a visual change between hybrid and petrol models, with a flat-faced five-spoke design on the Santa Fe Hybrid and a more detailed split-spoke appearance for the Santa Fe 2.5T.
All Santa Fe variants also gain Hyundai’s Digital Key 2 entry system, allowing secure vehicle entry and engine starting via a paired smartphone.
The latest price rise comes after Hyundai bumped the price of the Santa Fe Hybrid up by $1500 in June 2025.
Apart from the changes detailed above, equipment remains unchanged with key features on the entry-level Santa Fe including seven seats, cloth trim, front seat heating, a power driver’s seat, leather-clad steering wheel, dual-zone climate control, and a 12.3-inch touchscren with over-the-air updates.
The base Santa Fe is also the only grade available with a choice of front-wheel drive (FWD) or all-wheel drive (AWD).
Pricing for the petrol Santa Fe FWD starts from $53,400, with the hybrid priced from $57,400. Opting for all-wheel drive adds $3000 to the price of each.
For the mid-spec Santa Fe Elite and top-spec Calligraphy, all-wheel drive is standard with no front-wheel drive option.
The Elite retains 20-inch wheels and steps up specifications with leather seat trim, a powered passenger seat, steering wheel heating, acoustic front door glass, projector LED headlights (instead of reflector-type LEDs), ambient interior lighting, and 12-speaker Bose audio.
Driver-assist systems are also upgraded with remote smart park assist, navigation-reactive adaptive cruise control, and more advanced highway driving assist features.
The Santa Fe Calligraphy comes with dual sunroofs, black wheels and badges, gloss black exterior trims, a nappa leather interior, driver’s seat memory, front relaxation seats with ventilation, second-row seat heating, a head-up display, and a UV-C sterilising tray in the upper glovebox.
The Calligraphy grade can also be optioned as a six-seater with the second-row bench swapped for individual captains' chairs with power adjustment and a reclining relaxation mode.
The six-seat upgrade is a $500 option, metallic and mica paint is priced at $750, matte paint is a $1000 option, while interior colours, including Supersonic Grey (Elite, Calligraphy), Pecan Brown, and Forest Green (Calligraphy only) are a $295 upgrade.
The petrol Santa Fe features a 2.5-litre four-cylinder turbo petrol engine producing 206kW and 422Nm with an eight-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission. Fuel consumption is claimed at 9.3L/100km.
The Santa Fe Hybrid uses a 1.6-litre four-cylinder turbo petrol engine and transmission-mounted electric motor to produce system outputs of 172kW and 367Nm via a six-speed torque-converter automatic.
Fuel consumption for the Santa Fe Hybrid is claimed at 5.6L/100km.
