The 2025 Cadillac Lyriq and 2025 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray have been hit with price rises in Australia, joining the soon-to-be-launched 2025 GMC Yukon.

General Motors Australia has confirmed the Cadillac Lyriq electric SUV is $5000 dearer than before, while the Chevrolet Corvette Stingray sports car has risen by $4990.

A General Motors Australia spokesperson told Drive the price rises have been caused by foreign exchange rate changes and other cost increases.

"Due to ongoing foreign exchange rate volatility and cost increases, we have needed to review our pricing," the spokesperson said.

All of General Motors' current vehicles in Australian showrooms are sourced from the United States.

The Cadillac Lyriq now starts from $122,000 before on-road costs – up from $117,000 – while the Chevrolet Corvette is priced from $186,990 for the 2LT Coupe, up from $182,000.

General Motors Australia has applied the price rises across the Cadillac Lyriq range – which is available in Luxury and Sport variants – and all C8 Corvette Stingrays, including the 2LT and 3LT trims and coupe and convertible bodies.

The Corvette E-Ray and Corvette Z06 remain unchanged, along with the Chevrolet Silverado 1500 and Silverado 2500 full-size utes.

However, the company previously confirmed $3500 price rises for the Silverado 1500 ZR2 and 2500 HD LTZ in Model Year 2025 (MY25) updates announced in March.

The price rises for the Lyriq and Corvette follow a similar $5000 increase applied to the GMC Yukon full-size SUV ahead of the first customer deliveries in Australia next month.

It now starts from $174,990 before on-road costs for the sole Yukon Denali variant – up from $169,990 – with General Motors confirming existing buyers are not affected by price rises for any of its models.

"Any customer that had a deposit / sales order prior to a price rise on any of our product will not be impacted by the price rise," the General Motors Australia spokesperson added.

Deliveries of the Cadillac Lyriq commenced in Australia in recent weeks, while the Chevrolet Corvette has been available since 2022 when it launched at $144,990 for the 2LT coupe – $42,000 less than its current starting price.

Both vehicles are built in right-hand drive from the factory, while the GMC Yukon SUV and Chevrolet Silverado utes are remanufactured from left- to right-hand drive by the Walkinshaw Automotive Group in Melbourne.
