BYD has effectively cut $4000 from its Shark 6 ute and Sealion 6 family SUV with a limited-time cashback offer available until the end of the month.

Until July 31, 2025, customers who order an in-stock 2025 BYD Shark 6 and 2025 BYD Sealion 6 vehicles will receive $4000 cashback via a bank transfer from BYD within 30 days of taking delivery of their new car.

While the Sealion 6s must be delivered by July 31, 2025, to be eligible for the offer, BYD will include Shark 6 deliveries completed by August 31, 2025, provided the vehicle was ordered by July 31.

The cashback offer for the Shark 6 and Sealion 6 is available to private and novated lease customers, and buyers are required to complete a claim form within seven days of vehicle delivery.

Novated lease customers are also eligible for a 4 per cent discount for the Seal, Sealion 7 and Atto 3 electric cars, along with the Dolphin Premium but excluding the Dolphin Essential, for orders delivered by July 31, 2025.

To be eligible for the novated lease offers, customers must place an order with an 'approved' provider or a fleet management organisation.

The BYD Sealion 6 starts from $42,990 before on-road costs – excluding any special offers – making it one of Australia's most-affordable plug-in hybrid cars, while the Shark 6 is available from $57,900.
