2025 BMW 1 Series price and specs: Value-led Sport Collection edition added to small hatch

The BMW 1 Series is the latest model in the German brand's line-up to score a Sport Collection variant, adding features for a modest price premium.

Positioned at $64,900 drive-away, the 118 Sport Collection adds metallic paint and a panoramic glass sunroof to the equipment list when compared to its 118 donor car.

Optioning metallic paint on a regular 118 – which lists for $57,600 before on-road costs, or about $64,000 drive-away in NSW and Victoria – would cost $1308 extra (drive-away), while the sunroof is normally offered only in the $5000 Enhancement Package.

The 118 Sport Collection retains the standard model's 115kW/230Nm 1.5-litre turbo-petrol three-cylinder engine, paired to a seven-speed automatic transmission that sends drive to the front wheels.

This means a claimed zero to 100km/h acceleration time of 8.5 seconds, and quoted lab-tested fuel consumption of 6.4 litres per 100 kilometres.

BMW's new 118 Sport Collection also retains the rest of the 118's standard equipment, which includes 18-inch alloy wheels, adaptive M suspension, the M Sport package, heated front seats, and electronically adjustable front seats with memory function.
